ER

DERMABOND ADVANCED™
in the emergency room.

In the ER, DERMABOND ADVANCED™ can often offer needle-free repair for simple lacerations. By being prepared to discuss the option of using DERMABOND ADVANCED™ in an emergency situation, you can help ensure that the treatment you receive is as comfortable and effective as possible. By knowing when and how to ask the right questions, you inform the ER nurse or doctor that you are aware of other options and can present an alternative if you feel that stitches might be traumatic or painful for you or your child.

  • DERMABOND ADVANCED™ can help eliminate the need for needles and speed patient care for laceration repair1,2
  • With DERMABOND ADVANCED™ use of local anesthesia may not be necessary for closing lacerations1,3
  • Using DERMABOND ADVANCED™ as the final layer of closure eliminates the need for suture removal, which may mean fewer follow-up doctor visits and can be a great benefit to young or elderly patients3
  • DERMABOND ADVANCED™ contributes to a quick return to an active lifestyle4,5
  • DERMABOND ADVANCED™ provides a powerful microbial barrier to seal out the germs that can cause infection6
