How It Works
How DERMABOND® works to protect
you—and the US Olympic team.
The adhesive material in DERMABOND® forms a strong microbial shield to protect wounds while they heal.1
DERMABOND® wears off naturally during the healing process, which is usually completed within 7 to 10 days.1,2 While you will not need an appoinment to remove stitches, your doctor may want to check on your progress.
Remember: only your doctor or other trained clinical professional can apply DERMABOND®.
How It's Applied

After cleaning your wound, your doctor or trained healthcare professional will apply DERMABOND® in the thin layers with a light, brushing stroke while holding the edges of the wound together.1
